Responsibilities
- Participates in pre-survey planning meetings with Project Managers, Resident Engineers, and contractor representatives.
- Assigns and monitors work, and provides input for evaluation of members of field survey crew.
- Instructs and trains survey crew in survey and mapping methods, use of equipment, and field safety procedures.
- Gathers field survey data through use of conventional and Global Positioning System (GPS) methods.
- Sets up, adjusts, and operates various type of surveying equipment, in order to measure distances, elevations, and angles.
- Performs complex surveying and engineering calculations and prepares finished grade sheets, topographic maps, and other survey and engineering reports.
- Represents Company in project meetings, client meetings, etc.

Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of survey experience with a heavy Civil / Highway construction is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with Trimble and Leica equipment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Good communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and MS Outlook Exchange is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and or Trimble Business Center.
- Driver's License (Required).
