About the Role
Signal Energy is seeking an experienced Surveyor to lead a team of surveyors in the field. This key role ensures accurate data collection and timely delivery of survey results for Signal Energy Contractors. The Surveyor will oversee survey work, including data collection, preparation of maps, plans, and legal descriptions, and ensure compliance with all standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of surveyors in the field, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to complete the job.
- Oversee survey work, including the collection of data and the preparation of maps, plans, and legal descriptions.
- Ensure survey work meets all necessary standards and regulations.
- Interpret survey results and make decisions about survey methods and equipment.
- Communicate with clients and provide updates on project progress.
- Maintain and update survey equipment and ensure the survey team is properly trained and equipped.
- Work closely with the Construction Manager to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Surveyor or equivalent role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical skills, including experience with survey equipment and software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently.
Physical Demands
- Long periods of standing, walking, and carrying equipment in the field.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of heavy equipment.
- Working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.).
- Exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards.
