Surveying Staff Engineer

About the role

Hale Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will collaborate on various land development projects with Project Managers and civil engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design sewer, storm drain, and water pipe networks including structures and pipe sizes
• Design curb and gutter, street corridors, and finished surfaces
• Design sidewalks, curb ramps, and parking lots per ADA Standards
• Prepare Grading Plans, Improvement Plans, and Traffic Control Plans per City and County standards
• Prepare Drainages Studies, Water Quality Technical Reports (WQTR)/Storm Water Quality Management Plan (SWQMP) reports, and Water Pollution Control Plans (WPCP)/Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) reports for Priority and Standard projects per City, County, and State standards
• Prepare Bond Estimates, Storm Water Management and Discharge Control Maintenance Agreements (SWMDCMA), Encroachment Maintenance and Removal Agreements (EMRA), and Storm Water Applicability Checklists
• Effectively communicate and coordinate with clients, City/County departments, contractors, and other consultants on project via email, phone, and within meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 3 years’ experience
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license required
• Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently
