Responsibilities
- Assist in land surveying duties
- Perform technical duties in surveying, construction, operations, and maintenance
- Obtain necessary data to complete surveys
- Assist with survey assignments, reducing field notes to base maps
- Prepare and set up survey data for field crews
- Conduct post-survey field data analysis
- Complete construction layout calculations
- Compute grade sheets
- Resolve boundary surveys
- Prepare ALTA/ASCM Land Title Surveys
- Analyze topographic and volume data
- Prepare construction as-built surveys and layout sketches
- Write metes and bounds descriptions
- Perform project datum conversion/transformation
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Surveying preferred
- 0-2 years’ experience in surveying
- Flexibility in daily schedule start times, particularly early mornings
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to operate personal and/or company vehicles
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop
- Knowledge of field survey operations, engineering, and construction industry
- Strong technical background
- Ability to obtain OSHA 10 and OSHA 40 safety training
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Independent and critical thinking abilities
