Survey Technician - Dynamic Survey

Responsibilities

• Assist in land surveying duties
• Perform technical duties in surveying, construction, operations, and maintenance
• Aid in obtaining necessary data to complete surveys
• Complete selected survey assignments, reducing field notes to base maps
• Prepare and set up survey data for field crews
• Conduct post-survey field data analysis
• Complete construction layout calculations
• Compute grade sheets
• Resolve boundary surveys and prepare ALTA/ASCM Land Title Surveys
• Perform topographic and volume analyses
• Prepare construction as-built surveys and/or layout sketches
• Create metes & bounds descriptions
• Perform project datum conversions/transformation

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Surveying preferred
• 0-2 years’ experience in surveying
• Flexibility in daily schedule start times, particularly early mornings
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop
• Knowledge of field survey operations, engineering, and construction industry
• Strong technical background
• Ability to obtain OSHA 10 and OSHA 40 safety training
• Proficiency in Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Independent and critical thinking abilities

Qualifications

Pay

The salary range for this position is $24 - $31/hr.

Schedule

Flexible schedule, particularly early mornings.
