Survey Technician Civil 3D Drafter

General Description

The Survey Technician is responsible for day-to-day execution of drafting sketches/plats for current, active projects. This includes receiving weekly assignments from the RPLS and Project Manager, providing preliminary plats for review and revision, and coordinating with the Field Crew, RPLS, and Project Manager on active projects.

• Perform deed research, boundary analysis, easement preparations, legal descriptions, and computing survey points.
• Process raw field data through Trimble Business Center.
• Conduct QA/QC checks on drafted materials.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in CADD, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• One year of experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience producing CAD drawings for land surveying projects such as ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking, boundary surveys, and as-builts.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
