Survey Technician

Duties
- Aid the survey crew chief in completing survey field assignments.
- Adhere to prescribed safety protocols for land surveying.
- Operate advanced surveying technology such as GPS, Robotic Total Stations, digital and differential levels, UAV, high-definition scanners, and data collection devices.
- Clear brush, drive stakes, take detailed notes, and make sketches.
- Process data and prepare maps and other work products using Trimble Business Center, Civil 3D, Carlson, and other software.
Requirements
- One to three years of relevant experience preferred.
- Skilled in the use of GPS and Robotic Total Stations, data collectors, survey, and drafting technologies.
- Familiarity with Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Carlson, and OpenRoads software.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements
- Drive a passenger vehicle.
- Wear personal protective safety gear most of the day.
- Work in cold or hot environments.
- Move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
