Responsibilities

  • Collect land information using survey instruments, conduct reconnaissance, mark property boundaries, conduct construction stakeout, and assist Land Surveyors with computer-aided drafting and math computations.
  • Work independently as a one-man crew.
  • Perform work on boundary and topographic surveys, and construction stakeouts.
  • Prepare equipment and instruments needed for the day's field work, keep field truck equipped, maintain and store equipment.
  • Collect data on significant site features, locate and recover property pins and boundary markers.
  • Ensure all projects are completed according to plan schedules, company policy, and production standards.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years in land survey field work and demonstrated skills.
  • A High School Diploma required.
  • An Associates or Bachelors Degree in Land Surveying is beneficial but not required.
  • Experience with modern surveying equipment is required. Trimble surveying equipment is preferred.
  • AutoCAD experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions, ability to clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing.
  • A valid driver’s license & reliable transportation required.

  • Physical stamina to work long hours outdoors under various field conditions, and to lift and carry 60 pounds.

Competitive salary.

Schedule

Subject to change with overtime work as needed to meet project schedules. Occasional overnight work and/or travel may be required.
