The Surveying and Geomatics team at David Evans and Associates, Inc., combines traditional methods with advanced technology to offer a broad spectrum of geomatics services, including aerial LiDAR and topographic surveys, construction surveys, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) modeling. The team emphasizes clear communication and collaboration to deliver high-quality results that benefit both clients and the communities they serve.
Responsibilities
- Perform and review boundary analyses and topographic survey calculations
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and scopes
- Lead quality control of survey deliverables including plats, ALTA surveys, design mapping, and construction staking calculations
- Prepare proposals and collaborate with technical teams to define project approaches
- Coach, mentor, and direct field and office staff
- Collaborate with DEA's Geomatics Group and Delivery Leaders to align staff and project needs
- Adequately adhere to DEA's firmwide processes for contracting, project accounting, and quality standards
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring responsiveness and excellence in service delivery
- Participate in cross-disciplinary collaboration with engineers, planners, and other professionals
Requirements
- Land Surveyor-in-Training (LSIT) certification
- 8 or more years of experience in land surveying
- Experience managing projects and mentoring survey staff
- Strong client communication skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and experience reviewing engineering plans
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Utah
- Familiarity with state and county mapping standards
- Experience with Trimble Business Center
