Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves as a leader for the Survey Team to ensure project timelines are met.
- Aids Project Managers and section personnel in developing survey needs, cost estimates, scope of work, budget, and staffing for engineering projects.
- Schedules assigned crews and licensed surveyors to optimize staff and equipment usage.
- Researches previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to gather necessary data for surveys.
- Prepares survey descriptions and "plat of survey" documents for assigned jobs.
- Determines methods and procedures for establishing or reestablishing survey control.
- Collaborates with clients, project managers, civil authorities, and crews to ensure all survey needs are met, client needs are fulfilled, and crew/equipment is used efficiently.
- Maintains project budgets to ensure they stay on schedule and that company goals and objectives are met.
- Conducts marketing calls to existing and potential customers.
- Keeps accurate notes, records, and sketches to document and certify work performed.
- Coordinates findings with Project Manager, engineering, and architectural personnel, clients, and others involved in the project.
- Ensures appropriate signatures and seals are used for surveys performed by the department.
- Manages survey crews, technicians, and licensed surveyors under the direction of the divisional leader.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities including training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Qualifications
- Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or 5+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor in Arkansas.
- Valid driver license and clean driving record.
