About the role
Sandis is currently looking for a Land Surveying Project Manager to join our team in Campbell or Modesto. Our ideal candidate has previous experience in Construction Staking and/or Boundary and Topographical Mapping Survey projects.
Responsibilities
- Manages survey activities for the performance and work accomplishment of all projects/contracts.
- Covers all project members, attends/runs meetings, and assures that all project documentation is maintained including change orders.
- Relationship development with clients to share progress, level of effort expended.
- Executes project set-up including reviewing and complying with contract component checklist.
- Efficiency gains for team and peers, through mentoring, leading department teaching programs and team building.
- Maintain awareness of budgets and schedules.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with attention to detail and follow through.
- Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) with staff, peers, and clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Geomatics or a relatable field.
- PLS required.
- 8+ years’ experience in construction surveying experience (field & office).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and Liquid Planner.
- Expert understanding of scope and level effort.
