Title: Survey Party Chief - Senior Pilot Surveyor Location: McDonough, GA (30253) Pay: $30 - $40seeking an experienced Senior Pilot Surveyor / Survey Party Chief to lead drone-based land surveying operations supporting residential, commercial, municipal, and infrastructure projects. This role combines traditional land surveying expertise with cutting-edge UAV technology.The ideal candidate will bring strong field leadership experience, expertise operating survey equipment, deep knowledge of land surveying practices, and hands-on experience utilizing FAA Part 107-certified drone technology in surveying applications.What You Will Be DoingLead and manage a 2-3 person survey field crew on land surveying projectsConduct boundary, topographic, construction layout, ALTA/NSPS, and FEMA elevation surveysOperate drones/UAS platforms to capture survey and mapping dataUtilize GPS, total stations, and data collectors to gather accurate field informationInterpret survey plans, legal descriptions, deeds, plats, and project specificationsCoordinate with office survey staff, contractors, clients, and project stakeholdersDocument field notes, sketches, asset tracking data, and survey deliverablesEnsure field operations are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with surveying standardsWhat You Need For This Job3+ years of land surveying experience1+ years as a Survey Crew Chief, Party Chief, or Field SupervisorFAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate PREFERREDExperience operating drones/UAS for surveying, mapping, or geospatial applicationsProficiency with Total Stations, GPS systems, and Data CollectorsStrong understanding of boundary, topographic, construction, ALTA, and elevation surveysValid driver's license with clean driving recordAbility to work outdoors and lift up to 75 poundsWhat's In It For YouFull benefits package.
