Survey Manager

About the role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Surveyor to join our team at Carmichael Development, a growing construction company specializing in ground-level projects across the southeastern U.S. The ideal candidate will conduct land surveys, collect accurate data, and ensure precise measurements for construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct land and construction site surveys using Leica GPS equipment
• Measure distances, angles, elevations, and positions to determine land boundaries and construction layouts
• Interpret and analyze survey data, blueprints, and technical plans
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure accurate site positioning
• Record and maintain detailed survey data and reports for project documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines during all survey activities
• Adjust and calibrate survey instruments as needed to maintain accuracy

Requirements

• Proficiency in Leica GPS surveying systems is required
• Experience in land surveying, preferably in construction projects
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and topographic maps
• Strong knowledge of survey methodologies, data collection, and processing techniques
• Experience with CAD software and other surveying tools is a plus
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physical terrains
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to different job sites
