Responsibilities
- Aid in field surveys to collect data on land features, boundaries, and topography in support of engineering and land development projects
- Operate and maintain survey equipment including GPS units, total stations, and levels
- Support the setup, calibration, and breakdown of survey instruments and field equipment
- Accurately record and document field data, notes, and measurements for project deliverables
- Aid in preparing survey reports, maps, and drawings based on collected field data
- Work closely with the Survey Crew Chief and team members to complete daily field tasks and project objectives
- Follow established survey standards, procedures, and project specifications to ensure data accuracy and quality
- Maintain a strong focus on safety by adhering to company policies and participating in daily safety practices in the field
- Support general field operations including equipment care, site setup, and assisting the crew as needed
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in land surveying, construction layout, or a related field preferred
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions
- Strong work ethic with a positive, team-first attitude
- Ability to take direction and support field crews effectively
- Good communication skills and a commitment to being a reliable teammate
- Basic understanding of surveying equipment (GPS, total station, data collectors) preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, walking long distances, and standing for extended periods
- High attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow in the surveying field
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Pay
The starting hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour, with final compensation determined based on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
Travel to project sites and perform work in outdoor environments across varying terrain and weather conditions.
