Survey Field Technician

About the role

You'll work alongside experienced survey professionals learning how to perform topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys while using modern equipment such as GPS, total stations, data collectors, and digital levels.

Responsibilities

• Collect accurate field data for engineering and construction projects
• Operate modern surveying equipment
• Perform topographic, boundary, and construction layout work
• Set stakes, hold rods, mark points, and assist survey crews
• Maintain field notes and digital records
• Assist with survey calculations and data interpretation
• Participate in concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregate materials testing
• Travel to different project sites and work alongside experienced professionals

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Enjoy working outdoors and staying active
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Comfortable traveling to job sites
• Interest in learning a skilled technical profession
• Interest in surveying, construction, engineering, or infrastructure

Surveying experience is preferred, but not required. Training is provided.

$26–$29/hour
