Survey Crew Chief - US Based
About the role
The Geomatics Division of Phasor Engineering is seeking a Survey Crew Chief for long-term opportunities in Canada and the United States for work on larger scale construction projects. The role involves performing daily field survey activities, communicating with various stakeholders, interpreting design documents, operating survey equipment, and promoting safety and environmental practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily field survey activities including obtaining survey measurements and staking for infrastructure construction
- Communicate effectively and regularly with Field Leads, Project Managers, Professional Land Surveyors, and Client Field Representatives
- Interpret design drawings, field data, field sketches, and base maps
- Cookordinate field crew's daily activities and supervise, mentor, and train survey assistants
- Operate and maintain assigned survey equipment, including ATVs/UTVs/Argos, tools, and materials
- Travel based on project location as required
- Actively promote Phasor's Health, Safety and Environmental Program
Requirements
- Previous Survey experience in engineering, construction, or industrial surveys
- Valid Driver's License and a "clean" driver's record
- Technical diploma in Geomatics or Civil Engineering is preferred

Skills
Knowledge of geomatics technology, including GPS systems, terrestrial scanners, drones, high precision optical and infrared sensors, and helicopter-based LiDAR. Ability to operate and maintain survey equipment such as ATVs/UTVs/Argos, tools, and materials. Strong communication and leadership skills.

Pay
Salary range: $75,000-$105,000 (excepted yearly earnings may vary)
