Survey Crew Chief - Land Surveying

Join a highly respected ENR Top 500 Design Firm that has been delivering transportation, infrastructure, and utility projects for over 50 years. We are seeking a Survey Party Chief to work independently across transportation and civil infrastructure projects throughout Maryland. This is a field-based role offering strong compensation, a company vehicle, and excellent benefits.

Responsibilities

• Lead field survey operations on transportation and civil infrastructure projects
• Perform topographic, boundary, metes and bounds, and control survey
• Conduct field-to-finish survey work and data collection
• Utilize robotic total stations, GPS equipment, and surveying technology
• Support LiDAR scanning and related survey activities
• Travel to project sites throughout Virginia, primarily transportation-related projects

Requirements

• Experience as a Survey Party Chief leading field crews
• Strong background performing topographic and boundary surveys
• Experience with metes and bounds surveys and control networks
• Field-to-finish survey experience
• Familiarity with robotic total stations
• Knowledge of VDOT survey standards is a plus
• LiDAR scanning experience is a plus
• FAA Part 107 Drone License is a bonus, not required
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa
