Survey Crew Chief

Central Florida’s top family-owned Site Development Construction company is hiring a Survey Crew Chief for immediate hire in Sanford, FL.

About the role

As a Survey Crew Chief, you will lead a field team on a variety of construction projects. You will train and instruct new crew members, work outdoors, and perform strenuous physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a survey crew on site-development projects
• Train and instruct new crew members in individual tasks
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
• Operate survey tools, iPads/computers, and GPS equipment
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations
• Travel to various job sites as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in construction or surveying preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in surveying and GPS systems or related construction work
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or foreman role
• Strong knowledge of site development
• Proficient in using survey tools, iPads/computers, and GPS equipment
• Excellent leadership, team management, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license (MVR check required)
