About the role
The Survey Crew Chief oversees a team of surveyors and ensures accurate and timely completion of fieldwork tasks.
Responsibilities
- Directs survey crews in the collection of topographic, geodetic, and other survey data.
- Ensures compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.
- Manages survey equipment and supplies.
- Coordinates with clients and project managers to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in surveying, geography, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in surveying or related field.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Proficiency in surveying software and tools.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of local and state surveying laws and regulations.
Skills
- Proficient in GIS and CAD software.
- Experience with GPS and other surveying instruments.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
