Survey Crew Chief

Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is seeking a dedicated Survey Crew Chief to join our team in Georgetown, Delaware.

About the role

In this position, you will play a crucial part in executing boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automated survey instrumentation and a solid understanding of construction plans and stakeout techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout surveys
• Utilize robotic total stations and GPS/GNSS equipment to collect accurate survey data
• Work independently as a one-person robotic survey crew while coordinating with project managers and field teams
• Interpret construction plans, cut sheets, and perform survey calculations
• Conduct field data collection for topographic and boundary surveys

Requirements

• Function effectively as a one-person crew utilizing cutting-edge robotic and GPS equipment
• Working knowledge of construction layout, cut sheets, and survey calculations, as well as boundary and title surveys
• Experience with topographic surveys and the collection of survey data
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a survey crew or party chief role
