Survey Crew Chief

Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is looking for a dedicated Survey Crew Chief to join our team in Abingdon, Maryland. In this role, you will play a crucial part in executing boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automated survey instrumentation and a solid understanding of construction plans and stakeout techniques Perform boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout surveysUtilize robotic total stations and GPS/GNSS equipment to collect accurate survey dataAbility to work independently as a one-person robotic survey crew while coordinating with project managers and field teamsInterpret construction plans, cut sheets, and perform survey calculationsConduct field data collection for topographic and boundary surveys Requirements Key qualifications include: Function effectively as a one-person crew utilizing cutting-edge robotic and GPS equipmentExperience using Trimble S series robotics and/or Trimble AccessWorking knowledge of construction layout, cut sheets, and survey calculations, as well as boundary and title surveysExperience with topographic surveys and the collection of survey dataBasic familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage3+ years of experience in a survey crew or party chief roleExperience coordinating with field crews Benefits Why You'll Love Working With Us: We believe in taking care of our team—professionally, personally, and everything in between.
