Survey Crew Chief

About the role

ESP Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief based in their Greensboro, NC office. Project types will include boundary, topographic, ALTA, residential, commercial, various route types and construction layout.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive knowledge of GPS surveying including static, fast static, RTK, and VRS
• Experience with Trimble data collection, GPS receivers, and robotic total stations
• Ability to travel out of town on assignments
• Manage and organize a field crew for various conventional, robotic and GPS land surveying projects
• Submittal of daily files including downloading of data, preparation/organization of field sketches & digital photographs, completion of daily checklists & timesheets
• Vehicle navigation using computer skills involving Microsoft Excel, navigational programs, and Trimble Data Transfer

Requirements

• Associates degree or higher in surveying technology, geomatics, civil engineering, or related field with registration as an SIT or PLS preferred, but not required
• 4+ years of experience in land surveying preferred
• Strong management and organizational skills
• Computer skills including Microsoft Excel, navigational programs, and Trimble Data Transfer

Qualifications

• Pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy
