Survey Crew Chief

Job Summary

As a Survey Crew Chief for DTK Site Solutions, you will work both independently and with crew members conducting various types of field survey work including boundary surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title surveys, topographic surveys, photo control surveys, route surveys, and construction stakeout. Under the responsible charge of a Registered Professional Surveyor, you will operate robotic total stations and GPS receivers to collect accurate data and information.

Responsibilities

• Operate robotic total stations and GPS receivers to collect relevant data and information
• Cut brush, drive stakes, take detailed notes and diagrams
• Maintain company equipment and survey vehicles

Qualifications

• 5-8 years' survey crew chief experience
• Skilled in the use of GPS devices, data collectors, and/or Total Station
• Independent judgment and initiative required
• Knowledge of land surveying principles, practices, and instruments used in computer aided drafting
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices and construction specifications, plans, and regulations related to construction
• Industry-specific safe workplace principles and practices knowledge
• Ability to operate motorized equipment
• Long hours outdoors under various field conditions and exposure to traffic, heat, cold, and other adverse conditions
• Valid Driver's License

8 hour shift Monday to Friday

Location

In person, various sites throughout Central and South Ohio

Requirements

• Reliable commute or relocation to Groveport, OH before starting work is required
• Driver's License preferred
• Surveyor License preferred
