Survey Crew Chief

Responsibilities

• Field work associated with land surveying.
• Perform Boundary, Topographic, Tree & Channel Surveys.
• Assisting with survey computations and data collection as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of survey experience.
• Absolutely required: Associates or Bachelors Degree in Surveying.
• PREFERRED: Associates or Bachelors Degree in Surveying.
• Able to operate Topcon Total Stations, Lieca GPS, static, RTK, RTN.
• Familiarity with NCDOT Electronic Field Book (EFB) data collection.
• Ability to shoot Topography.
• Ability to work remotely under rigorous conditions.
• Familiarity with construction plans and RW maps.
• Certified Survey Technician, Level II or III (CST) or ability to obtain within specified timeframe.
• Utility designating experience a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be reliable.
• Have the ability to work out of town, flexible with work area.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains.
• Ability to repetitively stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes, in addition to ability to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces.
