Survey CADD Technician II
About the role
WHS is seeking a highly motivated and talented CAD Technician to join our growing team based out of our Grand Junction, CO office. Candidates should have prior experience in oil and gas design or drafting. Our Civil Engineering and Land Surveying team supports a wide range of public and private projects, providing expertise across municipal, commercial, oil and gas, and industrial sectors. Responsibilities
- Utilize latest AutoCAD and/or Carlson software to prepare drawings
- Project planning, organization, and scheduling
- Execute requested drawing maintenance, standards, updating, revisions, etc.
- Manage the course of projects, research records, and produce reports for Project Managers and Clients
- Ability to manage project folders and files to company standards
- Review preliminary and final drawings prepared by other CAD Techs
- Analyze and interpret data from multiple sources, including field data, plats, and other records
- Efficiently collect, process, and evaluate GPS data
- Work proficiently on various projects simultaneously
- Coordinate with various departments, including direct contact with clients to produce deliverables
- Possible field work may be necessary
Requirements
- 3-5+ years as a Draftsman in a land surveying, engineering firm
- 5-8+ years of experience working with AutoCAD and Trimble software
- 5+ years of experience with Land Surveying in Oil & Gas
- Experience working with Carlson, ArcGIS, or Skyline Software a plus but not required
- Capability of working within a variety of industries including but not limited to: Oil & Gas, Construction & Development, and Government-related projects
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work within and meet project deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work 7am-5pm, Monday through Friday (additional time may be required at night or over the weekend depending on project deadlines)

Pay
The pay range for this position is $25.00–30.00 per hour (with flexibility depending on qualifications). The range displayed reflects salaries for the position based in our Colorado location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by specific work location and additional factors, including education, experience, credentials, and job-related skills.
Schedule
- 7am–5pm, Monday through Friday
- Additional time may be required at night or over the weekend depending on project deadlines
