About the role
SAM is hiring for a Survey Technician and/or Lead Survey Technician for the Las Cruces/El Paso area.
Responsibilities
- Support office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables.
- Report to the Project Manager and perform technical tasks utilizing the latest technology in the A/E/C industry.
- Help increase land survey project efficiency and client satisfaction by processing data utilizing SAM standards, including the evaluation of accuracy and sufficiency, all while ensuring compliance to applicable land survey project and industry principles under the direction of your supervisor.
- Maintain monitoring of field crew's production and quality assurance.
- Carry out initial Quality Control (QC) of field deliverables according to standards and best practices.
- Coordinate with supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are being met.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience required.
- Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD Civil 3D is required; MicroStation, Revit or similar application is a plus.
- Proficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Pay
Salary range: $40,000 - $60,000 annually.
