Survey CAD Drafter
WSP is currently searching for a Survey CAD Drafter to join our Land Surveying and Geospatial Team out of our Lawrenceville, NJ, Valhalla, NY, or New York, NY offices. Be part of a growing group of survey professionals working on a wide variety of internal and external projects.
About the role
This is a full-time position performing survey office work in a production role under the guidance of the management team. You will primarily assist in the production of survey plans and other deliverables, working on projects across sectors such as commercial, transportation, environmental, industrial, institutional, and energy. Daily tasks will involve using drafting programs, survey data processing software, project tracking tools, and Microsoft Office products.
You may interact with clients via email, phone, or meetings and will represent WSP in a professional manner. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs. You will be expected to exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company resources and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the production of survey plans and deliverables under supervision.
- Work on a variety of survey projects across multiple sectors (commercial, transportation, environmental, industrial, institutional, energy).
- Utilize drafting programs, survey data processing software, project tracking tools, and Microsoft Office products daily.
- Interact with clients professionally via email, phone, or in meetings.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
- Uphold workplace safety and adhere to WSP’s health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.
- Work schedules that may extend beyond the typical workweek to meet project-specific requirements.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED (higher education in land surveying or an associated field preferred).
- 0-2+ years of experience in land surveying, geospatial services, or a related field.
- Experience or training in the use of drafting programs.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and processes.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills; detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to work independently with supervision or as part of a team.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a closely related discipline is preferred.
- LSIT or CST certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge or training in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation InRoads, Leica Infinity, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is preferred.

Pay
Expected salary (all locations): $51,300 - $65,550. WSP reserves the right to adjust compensation based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
