Survey CAD Drafter
WSP is currently searching for a Survey CAD Drafter to join our Land Surveying and Geospatial Team out of our Lawrenceville, NJ, Valhalla, NY, or New York, NY offices. Be part of a growing group of survey professionals working on a wide variety of internal and external projects.
About the role
This is a full-time position performing survey office work in a production role under the guidance of the management team. You will primarily assist in the production of survey plans and other deliverables, working on projects across sectors such as commercial, transportation, environmental, industrial, institutional, and energy.
Daily tasks include using drafting programs, survey data processing software, project tracking tools, and Microsoft Office products. You may interact with clients via email, phone, or meetings and represent WSP professionally. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs.
You will exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company resources and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the production of survey plans and deliverables.
- Work on a variety of survey projects across multiple sectors.
- Utilize drafting programs, survey data processing software, and project tracking tools.
- Interact with clients professionally via email, phone, or meetings.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
- Uphold workplace safety and adhere to WSP’s health, safety, and harassment policies.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED (higher education in land surveying or an associated field is ideal).
- 0-2+ years of experience in land surveying, geospatial services, or a related field.
- Experience or training in drafting programs.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills; detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete office tasks.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety.
- Flexibility to work schedules that may extend beyond the typical workweek based on project needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a closely related discipline.
- LSIT or CST certifications.
- Knowledge or training in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation InRoads, Leica Infinity, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Pay
Expected salary (all locations): $51,300 - $65,550. WSP reserves the right to adjust compensation based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
