Survey Assistant
About the Role
Join Benesch's Connecticut Division as a survey assistant. As part of our Civil Engineering team, you will provide various field data collection and staking activities. The ideal candidate will have 0-2 years of surveying experience, showcasing expertise in topographic field work, construction inspection surveying, support for field personnel, and boundary monument searches.
Location
This position is based in our Glastonbury office with daily field visits to sites across Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Crew Chief to establish survey requirements and conduct surveys in line with standards and contract specifications.
- Research necessary records, perform calculations, and analyze measurements for property locations and legal descriptions.
- Assist in data compilation and ensure quality control.
- Communicate field issues to the Crew Chief.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in Survey & Geomatics, Survey Technology, or other related surveying program preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
- 0-2 years of experience in the surveying field.
Pay
The expected compensation range for this position is $68,640—$89,440 USD. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary, overtime, and bonuses.
