Surveillance Technician - Night Shift

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technology and critical thinking to provide security for Rural King’s assets.
  • Drive positive change in the lives of our customers and the communities we serve.
  • Maintain camera systems for occurrences of theft, productivity issues, and security policy violations.
  • Aid Rural King associates with the use of the camera systems and reviewing video.
  • Create specialized reports to review financial transactions for discrepancies in a retail environment.
  • Manage the alarm listing for all Rural King locations and assist associates in accessing their alarms.
  • Communicate with store personnel and increase awareness around Loss Prevention Initiatives.
  • Conduct package checks of associates leaving the Store Support Center.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on daily security incidents.
  • Support stores and customers with questions about store policies.
  • Review video footage of significant events and provide details to management, human resources, and/or law enforcement.
  • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
  • Participate in team-building activities and recognize individual contributions.
  • Engage in learning initiatives to acquire new knowledge, refine skills, and stay current on developments.
  • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Demonstrate behaviors that exemplify Rural King’s Values: People First, Integrity, Attitude, Initiative, Teamwork, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of surveillance experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to actively listen, ask relevant questions, and provide thorough and articulate responses.
  • Proven track record of consistently producing error-free work and meeting quality standards.
  • Experience efficiently allocating time and resources to meet competing demands and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and persuasive skills to negotiate and influence stakeholders at various levels in the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify and address issues, minimizing potential delays or disruptions.
