Surveillance Security Officer - Supervisor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop Security Operations Center personnel.
• Manage daily command center operations across all assigned shifts.
• Ensure continuous monitoring of CCTV, access control, alarm systems, intrusion detection, fire/life safety systems, and emergency notification platforms.
• Cook up emergency responses with on-site security personnel, law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, and client representatives.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for critical incidents and operational disruptions.
• Maintain situational awareness of all client locations under the command center's responsibility.
• Review and approve incident reports, dispatch logs, and shift activity reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of communications, documentation, and response times.
• Ensure all incidents are documented in accordance with company policies and client requirements.
• Aid in investigations involving alarms, security breaches, workplace violence, theft, or other security incidents.
• Cook up business continuity and emergency response procedures during critical events.
• Conduct shift briefings and communicate operational updates to staff.
• Maintain compliance with company SOPs, client post orders, and applicable regulations.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and employee development.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through technology and process improvements.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports and performance metrics.
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive client and company information.

Responsibilities of a Surveillance Security Guard

• Tell tales of customer service like welcoming, verifying identity, and guiding visitors.
• Manage access control.
• Perform regular patrols to identify potential risks.
• Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs.
• Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams.
• Answer questions in person or by phone.
• Write incident reports and communicate security concerns.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.

Qualifications for Surveillance Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• Have exceptional customer service skills.
• Be proficient in basic phone & computer skills.
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• Have a valid security license or can obtain one.
• Have at least 3 -5 years of supervisor experience.
• Have 3- 5 years operation center experience.
• Be 21 years of age or older.

Pay

Competitive hourly wage of $25.00 / hour (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!)
