Surveillance Officer at Chemehuevi Tribe

Permanent, full-time, non-exempt position in the Gaming Surveillance department reporting to the Surveillance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Protect the integrity of the assets of the Chemehuevi Indian Tribes Gaming Enterprises.
• Maintain strict confidentiality relating to known affairs of the Department, the Tribal Gaming Commission, the Gaming Facility Operations, and their employees.
• Operate and monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras and audio equipment.
• Monitor and observe multiple areas simultaneously to ensure safety and security.
• Detect violations of the Tribal Gaming Compact and Tribal Ordinance as they relate to gaming.
• Report suspicious or unusual activity behavior to the appropriate authorities.
• Conduct random surveillance of daily activities relating to any connection with the financial aspects of the Gaming Facility, including Slot Operations, Table Games, Cage/Vault Operations, Count/Drop Operations, and Impressed Banks.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and report any unauthorized entry.
• Record and maintain accurate logs of all activities in the surveillance room.
• Prepare requested visual evidence and maintain appropriate records system for Tribal Gaming Commission review.
• Assist in special investigations by conducting targeted surveillance as required.
• Be familiar with regulations and internal controls of various departments.
• Control access to the surveillance room in accordance with established guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must qualify for a Gaming License.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and submit to background check.
• Comply with Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
• Excellent observation skills.
• Sign a confidentiality agreement.
• Must be reliable and dependable.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to remain focused for extended periods of time.
• Ability to identify suspicious or unusual activity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience in surveillance or security preferred.
• Computer Skills (Microsoft Office products).
• Casino Experience (slots and table games) preferred.

Pay

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Night and weekend position. Will work as late as 3:00 am on Friday and Saturday and as late as 1:00 am Sunday-Thursday.
