Responsibilities

  • Operates a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system to monitor casino activities and prepare reports and logs.
  • Operates software to save and preserve video coverage.
  • Presents evaluations of any observed illegal activity to the proper departments and makes necessary recommendations.
  • Makes recommendations and enforces state and federal regulations.
  • Communicates with security and other departments using phones and radios.
  • Follows policies to ensure safety and asset protection.
  • Maintains all logs and ensures accuracy of log entries.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all Hotel/Casino information.
  • Reports all incidents observed on shift to the Leadership.
  • Complies with company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Acts as a role model to other employees and encourages others to do the same.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in a security, casino, or surveillance-related field is preferred.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long hours observing numerous CCTV screens.
  • Must be able to work and maneuver in close quarters.
  • Must be able to respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations.
  • Must be able to see and remember the specific details of incidents and persons.
  • Ability to compose clear, accurate, and concise reports.
  • Must be able to operate the following equipment: Monitors, switches, computers, controllers, and cameras.
  • Must be able to give court testimony when necessary and write detailed reports.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to maintain extremely confidential information.
  • Observe gaming tables and slot machines to ensure fair play and accurate payout.
  • Review video footage to resolve disputes or investigate incidents.
  • Coordinate with casino security staff and management when issues arise.
  • Ensure compliance with gaming laws, internal policies, and procedures.
  • Respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers, guests, and vendors.
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, and stack.
  • Must be 19 years of age or older.
  • Proficient in English verbal and written.
  • Proficient with iOS devices.
  • Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively.
  • Safely work with provided cleaning chemical and equipment.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing dust, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibration, crowds, and air quality.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be flexible with schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
