Surveillance Agent

PURPOSE

Maintain the integrity of the Casino’s gaming operations through effective CCTV monitoring and investigation of the casino’s activities on a per-shift basis. Notify surveillance shift supervisor of non-compliance with regulations, internal controls, and rules of the games, as well as when integrity of assets is compromised. Document violations and remedial measures taken. Cooperate with Casino when surveillance coverage is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission and ensures strict adherence to same throughout the property.
• Protects casino and hotel assets and gaming integrity through the consistent, thorough monitoring of all activities on property, particularly on the gaming floor.
• Monitors all areas of the property at all times, identifying potential security and/or safety risks and reporting them to the appropriate individual or entity for proper resolution.
• Ensures quality observations and investigations in the Surveillance Department on assigned shift.
• Absorbs information throughout the department, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
• Reviews surveillance video and reports, providing detailed information to Surveillance Management as needed.
• Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
• Observes, documents, records and reports any unusual or suspicious activities on property.
• Regularly inspects the premises, identifying potential safety or security hazards, and reporting same to Surveillance Management for proper resolution.

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
• Two (2) years minimum work experience in gaming industry with an emphasis in table games, surveillance, investigative revenue audit, or cage operations, or 3 years of active duty military service with honorable discharge, in lieu of experience in gaming industry.
• Proven ability to learn: casino fraudulent crimes, how to detect such crimes, and how to document court admissible evidence of such crimes.
• Proven ability to learn how to operate an extremely complex CCTV system.
• Proven ability of developing and maintaining excellent relationships with the various business units within gaming operations.
• Strong attention to detail while observing activity on a CCTV system.

Skills And Abilities

• Ability to quickly add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must successfully pass a basic skills math test.
