Surplus Lister
About the Role
This position largely involves sorting products from inbound shipments, itemizing products, and creating e-commerce listings for MRO (maintenance, repair, and operation) parts. We work with a wide variety of products and offer extensive training. No prior experience is required!
Responsibilities
- Triaging Purchases - Sorting through purchases to separate items of value and organizing them for easy check-in
- Checking In Purchases - Cataloging manufacturer, model number, condition, and quantity of items associated with purchase orders
- Item Preparation - General breaking down of small parts with hand tools
- Research and photography - Performing general research of MRO parts and taking photos to create e-commerce listings
- Inventory - Scanning items into our inventory system
- Process improvement - Identifying roadblocks and suggesting ways to improve our processes
Requirements
- Proficient typing skills
- Basic computer skills
- Willingness to use new software and navigate user interfaces
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work with others to accomplish goals
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to frequently lift 25 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to withstand varying temperatures
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of operating basic hand tools
- Data entry, eCommerce, and photography experience
- Prior forklift experience
