Surplus Lister

About the Role

This position largely involves sorting products from inbound shipments, itemizing products, and creating e-commerce listings for MRO (maintenance, repair, and operation) parts. We work with a wide variety of products and offer extensive training. No prior experience is required!

Responsibilities

• Triaging Purchases - Sorting through purchases to separate items of value and organizing them for easy check-in
• Checking In Purchases - Cataloging manufacturer, model number, condition, and quantity of items associated with purchase orders
• Item Preparation - General breaking down of small parts with hand tools
• Research and photography - Performing general research of MRO parts and taking photos to create e-commerce listings
• Inventory - Scanning items into our inventory system
• Process improvement - Identifying roadblocks and suggesting ways to improve our processes

Requirements

• Proficient typing skills
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to use new software and navigate user interfaces
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work with others to accomplish goals
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to frequently lift 25 pounds
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to withstand varying temperatures

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of operating basic hand tools
• Data entry, eCommerce, and photography experience
• Prior forklift experience
