Responsibilities

  • Lead and Teach: Deliver live and recorded lectures for a minimum of 16 college-level courses annually, guiding students through core surgical topics, pharmaceuticals, sterilization, and hands-on lab skills.
  • Manage Department Operations: Oversee adjunct faculty, manage course reviews, direct scheduling, and coordinate daily departmental activities to ensure academic excellence.
  • Drive Student Success: Facilitate dynamic classroom discussions, provide targeted student solutions, and mentor future surgical technologists through their educational journey.
  • Support Academic Governance: Actively participate in institutional committee meetings, curriculum development discussions, and general campus service activities under the direction of the Academic Dean.

Requirements

  • Surgical Tech Expertise: Must hold a valid, active professional Surgical Technology Certification along with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Instructional Delivery: Strong ability to teach complex medical concepts—including surgical procedures, patient prepping, positioning, and clinical care—in both lecture and lab environments.
  • Leadership & Faculty Management: Proven capacity to manage, schedule, and review adjunct faculty members while maintaining structured departmental workflows.

Qualifications

Preferred Experience: Strong preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record of successful teaching experience and prior academic management background.

Pay

$70,000 - $93,000 per year

Schedule

Predictable Monday–Friday days with one remote day per week.
