Surgical Technologist Student Resident

Role Overview The Surgical Technologist Residency Student is an enrolled student in an accredited surgical technology program who performs surgical tasks under the supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner and a staff Surgical Technologist preceptor. During clinical experience, the student functions as an educational clinical participant, not independently. Primary responsibilities are outlined in WAC 246-939-030. Responsibilities & Qualifications Assist in surgical procedures, adhering to safety and procedural standards.Perform tasks delegated by licensed staff within scope of training.Must have Washington Surgical Technologist Registration upon hire.Enrolled in a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited program with completed lab skill check-offs.Support a patient-focused, respectful, and inclusive environment.Contribute to delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
