About the Role
Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures by preparing the operating suite, assisting with patient positioning and draping, passing instruments, and managing specimens.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surgical environment with drapes, instruments, solutions, and supplies.
- Ensure equipment and instruments are in working order.
- Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and draping.
- Pass instruments to the surgeon during procedures and monitor supplies.
- Handle and process specimens for laboratory delivery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or military training.
- State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration.
- Minimum 6 months of Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited program.
- CPR/BLS certification through recognized agencies, valid through sixty days of hire.
