Surgical Technologist
Provides assistance to the surgeon during surgical procedures, including preparing and organizing operating room instruments and supplies. Anticipates the surgeon's needs during a procedure.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Surgical Technology program
- National certification required at time of hire or within 6 months of hire
- Able to recognize potential and actual processing errors and notify leadership
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changes in duties with minimal notice
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical and surgical terminology, instrumentation, aseptic techniques, and surgical procedures
- Experience in an operating room setting
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of a school of surgical technology
- Experience in an operating room setting is required
- Must have a good knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical and surgical terminology, instrumentation, aseptic techniques, and surgical procedures acquired through post-secondary training
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required within six (6) months of hire
- If registry status has not been held in the past, it must be achieved within four (4) months from the date of initial employment
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for patients of all ages.
Requirements
- Must have graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing program leading to licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Associate's degree in practical nursing is preferred
- Specific services/positions may have additional education, training or experience requirements
- IV therapy skills are required
- Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as a RN (or LPN) at another facility
- Requires current licensure as a practical nurse in the state/states of practice
