Surgical Technologist - OB

About the role

The Surgical Tech OB is responsible for assisting surgeons during C-sections and ensuring the surgical suite is adequately prepared. Additional duties include cleaning, wrapping, and sending instruments to Central Service for sterilization, stocking and preparing labor and delivery rooms, and assisting Labor and Delivery nurses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during C-sections
• Adequately prepare the surgical suite for C-sections
• Clean, wrap, and send instruments to Central Service for sterilization
• Adequately stock and prepare labor and delivery rooms
• Assist Labor and Delivery nurses as needed

Requirements

• Surgical Technologist registration within 90 days of hire
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum one (1) year of work experience in OB or in the Operating Room preferred

Qualifications

This position requires a service-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills for the purpose of supporting the delivery of care and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups. Independent decision-making is expected in the execution of daily routine duties.

Pay

The pay scale is $32.21 - $49.03 USD. Pay is influenced by factors such as skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. For more details, please refer to the pay expectations.

Shift: Night
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends required
