Job Summary
University Hospitals East is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join their team in the inpatient setting. This position is based in Columbus, OH.
About the Role
The Surgical Technologist functions as an integral member of a team of care providers in the operating rooms of the Perioperative Services. The team includes the registered nurse, perioperative technician, anesthesia technician, anesthesiologist, and surgeon. They provide patient care and supportive services aimed at achieving patient care outcomes, improving service levels, reducing hospitalization length, and decreasing costs.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures.
- Prepare operating rooms and equipment for surgery.
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during operations.
- Monitor patient vital signs and prepare patients for surgery.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure smooth patient care transitions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, and completion of a Surgical Technology Training Program.
- Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.

- Maintain knowledge of current policies, procedures, and protocols.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
