About the role

Provides for a sterile environment. Prepares for procedure. Assists the physician to promote optimal patient outcomes. Provides and maintains a safe environment for the patient and staff. Responsible for personal continuing education and professional practice.

Qualifications

Education

• Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program
• Achieved national certification in surgical technology preferred
• Five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech
• Cath lab: RCIS certification preferred

Experience

• Must have completed accredited Surgical Technology program
• Must have five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech
• LPN with one (1) year surgical tech preferred
• National Certification is highly preferred

Licensure/Certification/Registration/Professional Designation

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment
• If Certified Surgical Technologist must have current certification
• Current Oklahoma LPN license required, if applicable
• Cath lab: ALS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout duration of employment
