Surgical Technologist I - General Surgery

About the role

Are you ready to work alongside some of the top surgeons in WI? Aurora West Allis Medical Center is looking to add a Surgical Technician to their team of surgical experts.

Responsibilities

• Pass instruments to some of the top Surgeons in the world.
• Assist with gowning and gloving; preparation and draping of the surgical area, and provision of a sterile field.
• Perform all types of procedures and maintain advanced knowledge of a variety of procedures.
• Function as a First or Second Assistant as necessary.
• Transport patients and/or equipment and supplies.
• Maintain a specialty cart or item, ensuring its completeness and availability.
• Act as a resource and precept Surgical Technologists I.

Requirements

This position is open to both experienced and new graduates. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a surgical technology program.
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and techniques.
• Basic computer skills.

Pay

$26.55 - $39.85 based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

8 hr shifts, 1030-1900, also includes a weeknight, weekend and holiday rotation.
