Surgical Technologist - General

Schedule

90% FTE, evening shift. You will work three 12‑hour shifts per week with weekday, holiday and weekend on‑call responsibilities. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Eligible for up to a $13,500 sign‑on bonus (pro‑rated for external hires).

About the role

Join the inpatient surgery team at UW Health’s East Madison Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center, to assist world‑renowned surgeons in performing complex surgical procedures for patients from around the world.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room prior to surgery in a fast‑paced environment.
• Assist surgeons during surgery, anticipating their needs.
• Support complex surgical procedures alongside a world‑renowned surgical team.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program (required).
• Two (2) years of Surgical Technologist experience may be considered in lieu of program completion.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist.

Licenses & Certifications

• Basic Life Support/CPR certification within 6 months (required).
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – preferred.
