Surgical Technologist - Days/Evenings Weekender

About the role

Surgical Technologist responsible for assisting surgeons during procedures, maintaining sterile techniques, and supporting patient care across all ages.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures, ensuring aseptic techniques and proper setup of instruments and equipment.
• Coordinate treatments with multidisciplinary teams and provide basic patient assistance.
• Ensure accurate surgical site identification, supply management, and specimen handling.
• Maintain universal precautions, manage wound care, and participate in patient admission/discharge.
• Perform billing, participate in on-call rotations, and act as a preceptor for students.
• Adhere to policies, perform quality control, and support additional duties like specimen collection and patient transport.
• Initiate emergency procedures and ensure medication and solution labeling accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or eligible under Pennsylvania Act 80.
• Graduate of Specialty Training Program.
• Strong adherence to sterile techniques, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

The role involves 12-hour shifts, including weekends, with on-call responsibilities.
