Surgical Technologist Certified
About the Role
As a Certified Surgical Technologist at Parkland Medical Center, you will prepare for procedures by selecting necessary equipment and supplies. You will assist with patient positioning, confirm the procedure with the surgeon, and drape the patient according to guidelines. During surgery, you will maintain the sterile field, provide effective tissue retraction for optimal visualization, support emergency responses in the operating room, and perform additional surgeon-directed tasks while demonstrating required department-specific competencies.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program required
- American Heart Association BCLS required
- Certified Surgical Technologist required
Preferred: Minimum of three years OR scrub experience; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
