Surgical Technologist

About the role

Assists the surgical team in preparing and maintaining sterile fields during procedures, passing instruments, supplies, and medications, and ensuring equipment readiness.

Responsibilities

• Collects data on surgical cases
• Cleans and sterilizes equipment
• Transports patients
• Performs housekeeping duties
• Ensures accurate counts of instruments, sponges, needles, and blades
• Labels solutions correctly to support aseptic techniques
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Surgical Technician certification
• CPR/BLS certification
• Completion of accredited surgical technology program

Preferred

• High School/GED
• Associate's/technical degree
• Scrub technician experience
• Operating room training
• CNA certification
