Surgical Technologist

About the role

The Surgical Technologist role at Stephens Hospital assists the surgeon and Operating Room (OR) RN during surgical procedures. This is a full-time, 40 hours/week, day shift position.

Responsibilities

• Assists the surgeon and OR RN during surgical procedures
• Prepares operating rooms and equipment for surgery
• Passes instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery
• Cleans and disinfects surgical instruments and equipment
• Monitors patient vital signs and prepares patients for surgery
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth surgical operations

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology
• Current BCLS certification required within 6 months of start date
• One year of experience preferred

Qualifications

• National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting certification required
• New Hampshire positions require New Hampshire Med Tech License or NH EMT License with National Registry Certification

Pay

$15,000 sign-on bonus for CSTs eligible, $3,000 sign-on bonus for new graduates
