Responsibilities

  • Prepare the operating room by setting up instruments, equipment, sterile solutions, and supplies before procedures.
  • Help prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and ensuring the surgical site is properly prepped.
  • Maintain a sterile field at all times and uphold the highest standards of aseptic technique to prevent infection.
  • Anticipate the surgeon's needs, passing instruments and supplies efficiently and safely throughout the procedure.
  • Assist with tasks such as holding retractors, cutting sutures, handling specimens, and applying dressings as directed.
  • Participate in pre- and post-procedure counts, room turnover, cleaning, and restocking to keep cases running smoothly.
  • Support our culture of safety, quality, and teamwork while providing age-appropriate care to patients across the lifespan.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Minimum of 1 year Surg Tech experience required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Preferred experience in Total Joint procedures (hip, knee, and shoulder), Neuro Spine, robotic cases for General Surgery and OB, and cystoscopies.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be able to pass a TB test.

  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of surgical techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.

Pay

$12,000 sign-on bonus for a 3-year commitment.

Schedule

5x8, Day (6:30 am - 3:00 pm), Monday - Friday.
