Surgical Technician

Apart from providing cataract, glaucoma, and oculoplastic surgeries, TruVista Surgery Center in Troy, MI offers a modern clinical setting that values teamwork and excellence in surgical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and anticipate instrument and procedural needs for all surgical procedures in accordance to regulatory standards.
• Typical Schedule: 2-3 days per week during Monday - Thursday (10 hour shifts), no weekends and no late evenings.
• Obtaining supplies from other areas as needed.
• Returning supplies and equipment to the appropriate location.
• Aiding in keeping the Central Sterile area neat and orderly.
• Effecting handling health or safety hazards for self and patients.
• Reporting any unusual occurrences or incidents accurately to the Clinical Director.
• Performing other duties as required.

Requirements

• 0-3 years of experience.
• Maintains current BCLS certification and completes required annual in-services.
• Works in a surgery center environment with healthcare interactions including patient contact, hazardous chemicals, and infectious diseases under a moderate level of noise.
• Understands and follows instructions with speed and accuracy.
• Organizes and sets priorities for work to be done.
• Possesses manual dexterity, mobility, visual acuity, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, attendance, and good interpersonal skills.
